Patience: a slightly AU Martha/Doctor/Rose story.

My first DW vid, which is obvious because of how COMPLETELY random it is. Honestly, I didn't even come up with a storyline until it was done and I was interpreting what I had.

Aaah, this is so tossed!

*STORY-ish*
Takes place over many days, rather than just one like in the original Smith and Jones episode. Day one: The Doctor finds himself in the hospital while miserable over losing Rose. He is dropped and hits his head on the floor and dreams about waiting for Rose. He sees Martha in his dream just before she rushes into the room to revive him. After they're both safe, he disappears without properly saying goodbye. Day two: he meets her properly and she follows with him. He starts to tell her about his Time Lord-ness as they learn more about each other. Martha wants to help the Doctor after seeing how hard he's trying to get over Rose. Day three: Martha goes to work the next day where the Doctor is staying when the hospital gets sucked up to the moon. In an attempt to finally let go of his past, he kisses Martha and realises his true feelings for her (SO AU, right?) and that night, after proving he can travel through time, he shows her the Tardis and asks her to come with him.

So yeah. That's *kinda* the non-story story.

AU is Alternate Universe. It means the events aren't set exactly to the original story, so it might only happen in an alternate universe. (ex. Doctor Ten falling in love with Martha. That CLEARLY never really happened.)

If the ending means that The Doctor and Martha Jones are reunited and set off together again, then bravo!

It's kind of hard to explain, haha. When I made the vid, I was illustrating, idk, emotions more than a hardlined story, you know? But yeah, the ending is supposed to be the Doctor finally leaving his past behind and set off into a future with Martha (which would *so* never really happen, haha, but still). Thanks for the comment ^^

I really liked this! :D I think in the series, the Doctor sort of used Martha as a crutch to heal his loss of Rose, but I really liked this AU!!! :D Really cool!

Why would it "so never really happen?" Why can't the Doctor show Martha that he loves her, he obviously does?

I disagree, I think the Doctor is very much in love with Martha, but he's mentally screwed up because of losing everyone he's loved before.
