Are you sure? I read a story that Violence against women is sharply on the rise. I hope your country does not take the dark road. Why are these ideologies rising again?
-
@Superageofreason no Turkey is not France that's right. But Turkey is also not Saudi Arabia, keep that in mind too.We secularist's will raise again, because the youth is on our side and only the youth is the future of this country.
-
funny, how is it, seriously, how is it that islam is always involved in terror activities and lies? boggles the mind really

@Hirnlego999 I agree, as long as "I'm not too sure" doesn't grow into cultural relativism, questioning human rights and what has made modern society possible in the first place: A secular government.

Kemal Ataturk was way to ambitious to say the least. Turkey is not France. You can't impose laicite in a moslim country. Prophiting hijab in school, univesaties and the whole public sector. How humilating is that saying to a woman in a muslim country take your hijab out inside this building and wear it outside.
You will not create in that way more secular people. Infact you will anger the people more. It is only sooner or later. When Turkey's secularist will lose.
-
I am all for secularism. But it is going to far. Banning hijabs in schools is to stupid for words. There are more religious people in Turkey then secularists. The secularist are pushing there luck.
-
washington institute of near east policy is a zionist neocon "think thank". It doesn't publish analysis - only propaganda to serve the racist terrorist entity known as Israel, which involves demonizing anything Muslim. How on earth can you possibly quote them
-
I hope the secularists understand the meaning of their flag which defines Turkey. Which is a crescent and a star.

Fetullah gülen is not my leader, My leader is Prohpet Muhammed s.a.v
All the modern countries are secular. If Turkey loses its secularism, it will lose its importance.

Moral certainty is always a sign of cultural inferiority. The more uncivilized the man, the surer he is that he knows precisely what is right and what is wrong. All human progress, even in morals, has been the work of men who have doubted the current moral values, not of men who have whooped them up and tried to enforce them. The truly civilized man is always skeptical and tolerant, in this field as in all others. His culture is based on "I am not too sure."
