I miss this ol'town. My father, Ken MacLeod who just passed away, was born and raised there. He would tell me about his life stories of when he lived there and things were different. He took us four times and I have to go back. It's been over 15 years and I miss her. My father would always talk about Lewis as "home". Now that is what home is to me. I will be coming home soon. I love you Dad.

@1scot4scotland i know, ive had that argument thrown at me before! spoiling the landscape?? Emm....not much of a landscape, unless brown grass and some rocks counts as landscape. The moor is the best place for them as there is no hills to block the wind and its just a big, empty bit of land that serves no purpose other than making the island look more barren than it already is. I hope i dont sound to negative, seriously, i love the island, but some of the people....just really confuse me! But i

Well, I enjoyed it. Just back from a weeks holiday in Stornoway. Toured the whole Island. Beautiful scenery. Pity about the wind though.
