A digital portrait painting done fast by Marilyn Sholin Corel Painter Master. This video was done with Techsmith Camtasia and is speeded up to make it fun, fast and enjoyable!
Because some people have asked: The brush used is Marilyns Messier Brush which is part of a tutorial CD I have. There is another similiar brush for FREE at The Digital Paint Shop that can be downloaded after registering there. There are other FREE tutorials there also. http://www.digitalpaintingforum.com/blog
Also, please join the Digital Painting Masterpieces group on Flickr which support my new Digital Painting book coming out in January. http://www.flickr.com/groups/digitalphotopainting/

  • Well, it's not quite that easy..the clone source is also painted and the "throwing down" the brushstrokes is the underpainting to build upon and create the background. It's all about the brushes and how to use them.

  • Very nice but telling people how to do it would have been move advantageous than the music.

  • Very, very nice! I just have to ask, what brush are you using for the background? I've never come across it in painter before. Thanks.

  • There are plenty of digital painting tutorials that include instruction and explanation. They are harder to make. Therefore, we can also find plenty of speedpaint demonstrations without any explanation. More is better than less, so I'm not sure why you are complaining about something free. Also, "throwing some brush strokes and revealing the clone source image." Do you mean that she painted using a model image? Are you saying that artists should not do that? If so, learn more.

  • Im new to these High speed "tutorials, but I would have to say "what a waste of bandwidth!!!" How is anyone supposed to learn anything by watching a sped-up version with mysterious underpanting already done, no clues about how, etc. This cracks me up, how useless other than for someone to show off to the rest of us.

  • @Corbs4u I wish it was a brush filter. Can you show me where to find one that paints stroke by stroke just like I do? That would be awesome.

  • rofl at msholin taking credit for using a brush filter

  • throwing some brush strokes and revealing the clone source image its quite easy, isn't it?
