Part 3 of 3: However, I do not blame these industries for the wording of the Protect IP Act or similar bills. It is up to Congress to create a wording that is fair to the internet and the film and music industries. So far, they have failed miserably. And for the record, I am a college student and have taken my fair share of Political Science and Economics classes. I feel that I am very informed on this subject. I have yet to see you defend why you think you know better than the rest of us.

Part 2 of 3: The Protect IP Act has nothing to do with 9/11 or terrorism. It was created solely for the interests of the film and music industries and the increasing amount of internet piracy. Frankly, the film and music industries are frightened by the internet and how easily intelectual properties can be pirated and stolen. Instead of changing their business model, they are pushing the U.S. Congress to create bills, like the Protect IP Act, to increase the punishment for internet piracy.

According to you, the government is planning on censoring the internet because people are apparently exposing them as terrorists who want to destroy america... That makes complete sense... Even if Congress did want to do something like that, whatever law they passed would be found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, because it violates our 1st Amendment right of free speech, press, etc. Clearly you know so much more about government than anyone else.
