The USA is the only western, industrialized nation left in the world without government health care. That's why companies in America that have to pay for it are less competitive.

Companies do not have to pay for health care. They offer health care as an incentive for employees. There are plenty of companies that don't offer health care coverage. The problem is that health care is so expensive due to government regulation of the health care industry and abusive law suits. Only companies with union employees have to pay for health insurance b/c it's in the union contract and that contract mandates that they employer pay 100% of all premiums, deductables and co-pays.

Insurance companies are NOT regulated. They CAN deny care to people for pre-existing conditions. Copays would help reduce casual use of doctors for things that could have been taken care of online at home, but the insurance industry is in dire need of regulation.

You are very misguided. Simply Google insurance and regulation. The are highly regulated as to what they can provide, what they must provide and to whom. To be ignorant of social issues is no crime, but to have a loud and vociferous opinion while remaining in that state of ignorance is irresponsible.

I'm aware of the baseline regulations, what I'm referring to are all the big holes that aren't filled. Such as pre-existing conditions. LIFE is a pre-existing condition.

Who do you think pays for government health care? Businesses and workers via higher taxes. And due to gov inefficiencies and waste it will be more expensive and of lower quality. I've lived in 3 European countries with socialized health care. I have first hand experience with such systems, unlike you or anyone else involved in boondoggle. Not to mention there's no constitutional authority for the gov to force people to pay for health care for others.

Only the USA is asking for health care reform. Not those other countries. And for every horror story of socialized medicine, there are 10 in private health care. Private insurance IS a death panel.

Conservatives are willing to sell themselves out to Walmart for minimum wage but can't stand it when somebody in a state that beat them in the civil war makes $28 an hour and isn't treated like an animal. In the next "war of northern aggression", psychologists should invade the south, not soldiers.

It's like putting a school in a trailer park when it really needs it's own abortion clinic.
