How to make a solar usb charger!

so far I have not found anything that this charger will not charge. As long as you can maintain a charge of 5.1v goin to the usb port, it will charge. I also connected the interior wires together to complete the circuit so the "smart" electronics would charge.

Why would you hot-glue the batt case down? It looks like if you glued it upwards, you could use this as a batt charger for AA's as well as a power pack. You could charge up any AA's you want, pull them out, and then leave the final set in there to use this as a power pack. I use AA's to power wireless keyboard/mouse & other devices. Was interested in sometihng I could use to solar-charge AA batts, but also use as a AA-powered (once charged via solar) power pack to charge a cellphone.

Is there a model number or serial number to track the solar charger you mention at the end of the vid? I checked Harbor Freight online and there was no listing for it. Thanks for the post.
