Why TurricanII is meant to be played on the C64

@MrFerdifuchs Ah great, here we have arguments, and on the other side the word "bullshit". I'm glad, that 90% of the viewers are smart enough to recognize, that I like both versions, and this video's purpose is, to demonstrate the pros of the C64 version, as everybody allready knows the one for the Amiga. See, the C64 version HAS those features, like an actually challenging fight against the machine. The only bullshit visible here, is in posts like yours. ;)
That should have fed the troll...

well, its a very strange attitude you have when you really intend to call this a comparision. Who wants to have a judge with a prebuild meaning that you obviously have? It´s a good c64 game I agree so far but does not even remotely achieve the quality on amiga. So bullshit is the only matching word for your "comparision" here.

@lurkerrekrul It's all about reacting fast and turn into the wheel IMMEDIATELY! :D

@Turricanbronko - Maybe YOU lose less lives, I average a life every 30 seconds! Accidentally jump on a spike and half your life is gone. Drop into a pit, you immediately have bats swarming around you and your life meter goes down like a bonus counter at the end of a level. Climb uphill and you have the little robots dropping on your head every step of the way, 2 of which are enough to kill you. The fast ship sections have you crashing into the scenery every couple of seconds.

@Chimmyt2..and germany lost anyway;) it simply took a bit more time;)

Turricam 2 is my 2nd favourite game of all time, only beaten by Unreal on the PC.
The music on the Amiga for Turrican was just truly brilliant, made the game. So mnay game developers dont realise its the music that immerses you int the game.
This is the 1st time I ever seen Turrican on a C64. Inferior to the Amiga version. But hats off to the C64 for being able to play Turrican. For such an old machine, shows just how great the C64 was.

@Turricanbronko Finally found them. Thanks.

@Apathesis0 That's, what I wrote in the text, every time, a new song begins. :)
-
@Turricanbronko I did, but I am curious what songs are playing during the video?

@Apathesis0 Read the video description, and the video text, when a new track starts. ;)
I've only ever played the Turrican games on the Amiga, so I'm no expert on the C64 versions, but it looked like you were using a cheat mode. I saw at least a dozen times where you hit or got hit by something damaging and in my experience, that usually kills you in about 5 seconds.

@lurkerrekrul No cheating there. I could play the C64 version blind. ;) Too bad I put the message window above the status bar, or you could see... But maybe you have a look at some C64 longplay vid, to compare the damage taking process. Or you give me some timestamps, so I could see, if the collision detection is a bit special in this case on the C64. ^^
