250000 / 52 = 4807.7 miles every week on average

With an oil change every 4800 miles that's 280 oil changes in 4 years

Its recomended that you change oil every 3000 miles. You can usually go over a few hundred and it will not hurt. However he went 1800 miles over 280 times.

Also just for fun. 280 oil changes at average $25 is $7000 compared to price of a new f250

An oil change every week? Personally I dont think an oil change every week is neccessary....i dont think there is any significant vescocity break down after a few hours regardless of mileage.

my dads got a 97 F150 and he's almost halfway there. He's got 475,000 on his right now with no major repairs
