  • May 17th is Norwegian CONSTITUTION Day. Norwegian Independence Day is June 7th. Constitution Day (Syttende Mai) is the primary "national day" for Norway.

    The dance they are learning and the tune they are dancing to are both called "Seksmannril (Six person reel").

    Dan Trueman, a professor of composition at Princeton Univeristy, is one of the USA's best players of Norwegian fiddle music.
