When gen y talks about wanting cool bosses , and fun friendly work environments , they often are mystified by the reactions and decisions that are made on behalf of thier work performances . They often have the" why are they treating me like that" attitude while it's business as usual

@gamerfromcanada 'Entitled asses' you say. She just says 'entitled'. The word has come to have a very bad meaning to people, but in reality it just means that you expect to at least have some guaranteed rights. Generations of the previous generation generally didn't have that. They put up with shit we don't have to put up with any more just to get a job. So it's not a bad word, in this case.

My perspective comes from someone who spent 6 months trying to find a job after getting a BBA.
-Most of us are willing to learn, and we look to our first job as an opportunity to do so.
-We do like to see "what's next" because many of us want to move forward in life and have student debts to pay
-We like friendly work environments. They don't have to be be super casual etc. but being able to have a friendly rapport with you managers and coworkers is nice
-We're not all really entitled asses

im just lazy.

Why are people complaining about the label "Millennial." Personally, I love it! I find it very appropriate to the fast-paced age that we're living in.

@TheHobgoblyn Gen-Y= Millennials

@jenisedai Without Gen X, the 90s as it was would not have been possible. I'll take this time to show my appreciation and to say "I love you Gen-Xers"

@KaliDemiDarkness Even my grandfather, who graduated from college in the 40s, thinks that we should at LEAST earn what we spent in college. I remember him telling me that when he went to school, it was $10 per credit which came around roughly $1500 by the time you were done. His first job as an engineer paid $2500, which, at that time was considered good money. He feels our generation got screwed over as far as tuition is concerned.

Where are the facts ? I mean, this kind of stuff can be easily refuted .... every generation criticize the following ones as lazy and decadent since the dawn of time.

@rayads786 I think that Generation Y (Millennials) range from as early as 1980 to as late as the mid-90s. I've even read that it stretches farther to 2000.
Well considering that Millennials and the generations after them are inheriting a world in the midst of a recession, environmental and social decay, a higher cost of living, and a broken political and educational system, you really can't blame us for wanting to change things a bit.
