About this Countdown:

I'd first like to credit Underworld23, yada, yada, i've copy and pasted this enough times...

Regarding the music chosen in this list: In the case that a theme appears in multiple games, I chose the version I preferred; All the music in this list is represented as it is heard in the game (no arrangements); Music from action RPGs are included at my discretion (as in, what I consider to be either an action RPG or an action/adventure game avid RPG players are likely to play and/or enjoy for the same or similar reasons they would any other RPG).

Fanboys/girls are bound to flip a $hit when this list is complete, but please don't personally e-mail me your own incensed fanboy/girl diatribes and opinions on this countdown

Of course, if you don't like this countdown, perhaps you will enjoy Underworld23's at:

It also seems that Setyll has one as well:

  • Hey, Why don't you try and write over 250+ Original Songs A year and get back to me .

It amazes me how little most people really understand how composers work.

And that's right, Sakuraba writes over 250+ songs a year for a ton of video games. He Works nearly 20 Hours a day sitting in his studio.

  • actually im replay it on my Wii now (wii game not interested me anymore so ...)

  • These were great games, but each game had that point where it became hard as hell. The Holo Holo bird in origins and in the original Giacomo and the other two main bosses you fought at the same time. Really if you could get past those points it was clear sailing.

  • Still can't believe Le Ali Del Principio didn't make the list.

  • @fonarte Maybe he should take a break and work on something else so he doesn't keep regurgitating the same material, also other video game composers manage it. I just think he's being lazy or stretching himself much too thin.

  • For some reason, this reminds me of Felix's Battle Theme from Golden Sun: the Lost Age. He probably is indeed reusing the basic song structure, as he does so often (not to say that he isn't original)

  • I beleive what you're thinking of MAY be 'Leaping The Precipice'

  • Import the game then!

  • Yeah, I know. The composer is Motoi Sakuraba. He also does the music for Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean.

  • That's because they're made by the same people. I bought this game because I played Eternal Sonata and loved it. This wasn't as good in my opinion, but it was still a fun RPG to play.

  • This piece is GREAT, the same way Uematsu is, im a very fan of Sakuraba.
