I totally agree with you, who cares if you have perfect christmas party if the people that work for you are screw ups, I would rather have honest people like you that will power to test themselves and try new things and bring what knowledge you have to the table. I'm a black male and I have an interview for an hvac apprenticeship in nj I pray to god that I can get in there I'm 25 when I took the test it was only 4 blacks including me so I'll let you guys know what happen

A man was working at a gas station.He asked me if the company I worked for was hiring.Then he told me he was ICE Certified for Heat Pumps and Gas Furnace.Then I asked him where he was from and he said the middle east.I always ask where exactly because I like to hear details.I'm curious with no prejudice what so ever.He gets quiet and says Iraq.I was surprised and welcomed him.I gave him a business card.He wasn't hired.I'm only a tech, I thought that was an opportunity to open eyes.

I am a white female so please dont talk about black and white because now I will soon be a minority not just because I am a female but because I am white. You will get a job before I do my friend. yeah. i went through all that schooling made top grades n all. only to find out i cant get hired because i got a record for something that happened over 10 years ago. im not crying, but d shit sucks

kudos, i worked with black men in Florida when i lived there, guys were awesome techs and had good records, however, the White American males had drinking habits and were not dressed the best. Your past affects the present and future in job hiring. To the men with the desire to learn a trade and further your life, keep on pushing the goals button. Also avoid drugs period, don't smoke that weed and drink that drink, or you will be back at square one ! this is true for all races....one
