Igor Stravinsky, James Levine, Chicago Symphony Orchestra

My tribute to all the involved artists, to James Levine, whom I experienced live several times, when he was here in munich with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
My tribute also to the genius Igor Stravinsky and one of his brilliantly masterpieces, which guards me since my early youth.
And my tribute to booth of the Fantasia Films, which gave me always very good emotions and often helped me, to bring people nearer to classical musik.

Thank you Walt Disney! Thank you Roy Edward Disney!

Danke Walt Disney! Danke Roy Edward Disney!

  • I used to love this movie when I was little and now I don't remember which version it was. The 1940 movie or the newer one. I just remember the story 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' and the story about the centaur. Do the centaurs also appear in Fantasia 2000?

  • @Reneeforsure I think you remember the Stokovsky-Fantasia form 1940. There is a part of Beethovens Pastorale (6th Symphony) an within the centaurs!

  • @2011jabez I also start to think that it was the 1940 movie. Or maybe I should buy both versions. Many people like to say that the newer one is pretty good as well.

    Thanks for your help. :)

  • @Reneeforsure Oh sure, buy both ones. For me also the older one is more significant, because I also have a lot of fine memories to my younger days. :-)
