Very nice video!..Mozart, Bach and Beethoven set such brilliant standards in western classical music..which eventually laid the basis of harmony in music theory...just like Thayaagarajar, and Diikshitar laid the foundations of the melodic form...
I think Raaja was superbly clever in getting the deep aspects of both western classical and Carnatic styles...I would say neither is superior ...
Musicians of any genre should always form a community...

Another of Raja's album, 'How to name it' has a score that has Bach's Sonata running along with Indian classical song-line. Its called 'When Bach met Thyagaraja'. He has shown us how Indian and Western music can co-exist-that was something nobody can ever dream to attempt, and he has done that brilliantly. Here again, its not a comparision, but a study of the music these geniuses composed.

@mskumarsotherside No..No man...Nothing here is pathetic!Perhaps comparision is unfair. Always unfair. Many ppl miss things about the main point to be considered in comparision. Each mind is unique and falls towards infinity. When you start looking at Music as an expression,each of them are unique.How do you compare 2 different color/feel.say anger and love? Both are diff & so each thngs in Music.As far i learnt & know, Western music infinity thru harmony but carnatic see it thru one dimension.
