Hi,
Have you tach'ed your headspeed? I'd like to know with the 5S backs and 13 tooth pinion what your headspeed is (and throttle curve in idle up if you don't mind)

hey i have one of these and have
hitec 225mg as cyclic
Turnigy motor
spartan quak gyro
align metal tail grips
align metal main blade grips
and im not to sure what speed controller to get ,, do u now any good cheap ones ? or would it be better to go with the turnigy plush 80 amp ? ,, and i not sure what tail servo to get yet any sugestions

Hey nice video, hey try a align 14t pinion with that motor thats what i'm doing. Check my video of the funniest exi crash i have typoon 500h 5s with 14 pinion, gotta love this brushless motor :)

Very impressed.....heli looks really well setup and fun to fly. I have ordered the HK500GT with the Turnigy Plush 80A ESC and Typhoon 500H motor and would love to know the pinion size and esc settings you used, and what % is your curve maxxed at? Any info would be a great help as the heli is being tracked 3-4 post as i type....lol

That's a pretty bling set-up. Your gyro alone costs over double the price of the kit! Hehe. Anyway, did you use the stock all plastic rotor set on this flight?

This flight was using the $89 metal head/tail from ebay. Had the head installed, but was not using the metal tail.

Is it the same as the $49.95 all metal head on the Hobby King website?

No, it's not the HK head. It's probably similar in quality though. I think it's probably best to go with the real Align parts unless you are just learning to fly. My clone head started off nice, but developed huge amounts of slop which started to affect blade tracking, stability, smoothness, etc within 50 flights of gentle sport flying.

Search for "Trex 500 Metal Head" on ebay...metal head and tail (tail installed now but not for this video) for about $87 shipped.
