RCC supports the teaching of evolution too. The RCC is an economic organization and just like the selling of indulgences, made money for the Vatican, whatever makes money is supported so long as their is money for the pope.
This is why we have a Bible. Like checks and balances in a bi-cameral congress and president and supreme court, the Bible checks the excesses of the church itself.
But the RCC has its own interpretations.
If it makes money for the pope, it is scripture!
