  • wot the hell is he thinking?

  • i don't see why people are bitching about this :P yeah Steve Walsh isn't a very good referee a lot of the time, but that was a fair call there, as it was CLEAR double movement

  • sorry but crawling has become a growing problem in the game. decision was harsh, but necessary. Adam AC has gotten away with worse in the past. Schalk Burger is also another compulsive crawler. Once you're held on the grown, you can't propel yourself forwards - exactly what AC did here.

  • @MGoose66 That doesn't really say "admitted it was a try", the aussie commentators went quiet on the 3rd replay because they saw the knee movement.

  • Yep like i said before "NO TRY" and good on you Steve Walsh these aussie whingers don`t know "SHIT" about rugby.

  • @187prettyboy Actually here's an edit / summarised version, or at least a pre-detailed on line version of the same story. This includes a similar admission about a different crucial penalty.

  • @187prettyboy Unfortunately it was in the Canberra Times and their on-line content is restricted. I believe he didn't specifically say this decision was wrong, but rather something like he had "had much better nights with the whistle" and "this would ordinarily have been awarded a try" when questioned about it. The same article details a history of bad blood between Walsh and the Brumbies going back years, including a particular post match incident in Durban resulting in his official sanction.

  • @MGoose66 Got a link for this quote and admission of error

  • @NZTGI Learn or at least read the Laws, then make comment. Walsh himself has since admitted the error.

  • @deankett7 The law says: Once tackled, you must immediately PLAY the ball. 'Immediately' does not mean 'instantly' and 'play' does not mean 'release'. Fair try.
