  • Great! I had a very big surpise last weekend when I heard Brasilian ham talking with ham from Argentina. I got even qsl-card from that guy from Argentina. Usually I have hard time to catch any calls from north or south america.

  • @SanttuDX Thanks! Listening on the ham bands always needs a bit of patience to get the precious ones. According to a radio amateurs' proverb, the careful listener is the champion.

  • Excellent Dxing Matthias..cracking signal from across the pond on 160m..I have seen the VY2ZM photos before and i agree the antennas are awesome...the only way I could have something like that is after I win the Lottery ! :)...once again great dxing I look forward to more with your antenna pointing NW cheers Mark

  • @MARKGM20877 Thanks Mark... The VY2ZM antenna park could even make some broadcasting stations jealous... I also tried some Canadian MW stations that night but heard none. However, WGIT and Rebelde (no video of the latter because the camera battery died) came in on the X-Band, so stay tuned. ;-) Cheers Matthias

  • Congratulations Matthias, super signals on 160m..Cheers Les

  • @amdxing Thanks Les... A quiet environment and a capable antenna made these signals possible. Cheers Matthias

  • @tvdxrools Thanks David... DXing in the fields makes the difference, it's fantastic without annoying man-made noise. I was quite surprised about the huge signal from Canada while even the standard TA MW stations like WBBR and WWZN were poor at best. Stay tuned! Cheers Matthias

  • great low noise reception ... look forward to more .. cheers david

  • @bocotawanta Thank you! I was quite happy to get such a strong signal on 160 m.
