1968 MERCURY COUGAR XR7 with a rebuilt ford 302 V8, about 300 horsepower, with ford racing valve covers and air cleaner, HEADERS, performer mufflers, 4 barrel Edelbrock performer carburetor, pertronix ingitor II and Flamethrower II coil c4 auto trans, has A/C , has power steering, disk breaks in the front, drums out back, the back end was lifted and bigger bf good wrench radials were put there, it just give it a nice stance!,all the inner fender walls, frame and the underside of the car has been undercoated to prevent rust. the whole car is restored and there is no rust on it, its very fun and FAST to drive! • the place i work at has 2 cougars ones the base and we have a xr7 parts car which when were done using im gonna buy

  • @uberman145 sweet! do you got any cool plans for it?

  • hey guys when i was going through all my suspension and steering, i found cracks in my shock tower, not huge, just 2 small ones next to the upper control arms, it was being very squeaky, so i went to grease the upper CA's, when i noticed the cracks, i was just going to have them welded and a peice of steel welded over them for extra strength, bc i dont have the time or money to replace the shock tower, i was just going to replace the upper control arm bushings and ball joint

  • What mpg highway are you getting if you don't mind private message me thanks

  • @oldtimeassassin , well i drive this car everyday, and i spend $30 a week for about 11 gallons of 91 octane fuel, it doesnt get good highway milege due to the fact of the c4 tranny, only has 3 gears, i would guess around 10-13 somewhere

  • @capnwipe well im gonna try to restore it to factory. or i might give it a classic trans-am paintjob.. its a parts car that only has 2 small holes on each quarter panel. it was originally gloss black with a vinyl top (still has) and red pinstripes. my boss is gonna use the a/c, tilt colum, and dash.
