@UnitRicardo why? it's not even 2600, it's 2600k lol. Anyways, I've replaced the board with Asus Maximus Gene-z, and the videocard with PNY GTX 580, also now watercooled. ;)

@retrolock
Hi,
I have the same configuration as you but I have some problem with CPU block
What is the motherboard backplate you used ?
Some picture will be usefull :)
thx

@okuteur hi man, the backplate is the stock rasa intel 1156 backplate. Although I'm not using that board anymore, I switched to asus maximus-IV gene-z.. Are you hitting some soldered caps?

nice setup mate but unless you're doing alot of video encoding and stuff like that, an i5 2500 is much better value, but if you shit money, my comment is invalid

@Se7entijz haha i don't shit money dude, this is my first upgrade in two years. Came from Q9400 and gtx 260.

@Retrolock lol my bad dude, but I still think i7-2600 and GTX 580 are a waste of money just for gaming, but then again you're ready for the future and should at least last you about another 5 years (this build), I still haven't upgraded my Q9450 and GTX 470 yet, and I don't plan to anytime soon since I run all the latest games with good fps and at max detail, and I don't game that much anymore xD

@Se7entijz haha i also bench quite a lot, it's a hobby. :) Yeah this build will last me 2 years probably lol not 5! You still have a nice setuo, remember I came from a 260 which was already struggling with new games at 1080p resolution. The 580 took care of that.
