Synapse BOV Hyundai Genesis

Peter is demonstrating how the Synapse Engineering Blow Off Valve can operate with the factory ecu for the stock Hyundai Genesis. This blow off valve works off the factory solenoid because it can react fast enough to keep up with how fast the ecu wants it to operate.

@Sefveron Not everyone wants to modify their cars to that extent. A lot of ppl just want something "cool" and it does sound pretty cool :P

@Sefveron ... The factory installed BOV is plastic and slowly leaks boost pressure the closer to redline you get until you're running on about 3 lbs of boost.

Its impressive seeing this at work, and i see the benefit of having a fast responding BOV but... is there really a benefit to changing it, why not just use the factory BOV? if you modify the car extensively most likely the ECU will be changed and then theres sort of really no point in having a BOV that can respond to the factory ecu
