@azpandaman I realize that this is speculation, but you also must take into account, that tha remaining 1/3 of overweight Americans, AND the remaining populace probably can.

@CheyTac2 Not many, probably the 2/3 of Americans who are overweight can't run a mile without stopping.

@RobbytheRocket the hurdles used in olympic steeplechases are only 36 inches while the hurdles in an olympic 110 meter hurdle race are 42 inches so yes, they are in fact shorter!
