The Chicago Tribune goes behind the scenes on "Avenue Q", the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical which was playing in the Windy City during May-June of 2008. This musical featuring puppets is best-described as an adult version of "Sesame Street".

@FatHellsBells Dude, they didn't "change" him to a girl. The character is still male. He's played by a female because they needed someone short with a high-pitched voice. Same reason a woman plays Peter Pan on stage.

It's very easy to forget that the puppet isn't a real person. It makes the joke about the blonde who went to see Jeff Dunham seem like a very easy yet casual mistake. I actually need to remind myself that it's the guy who's moving make the damn puppet talk, not the puppet itself.

I think that putting the microphone on the puppets left shoulder would probably work and be more comfortable than on the forehead.

@SpinneyBigBird1095 David Benoit, to be exact, he looks kinda like Tyler Bunch and his Nicky/Trekkie sounds like Kevin Clash, listen to 1:46-1:48
