This is part 2 of 2 showing how to modify that variator and driven clutch on a GY6 150cc go kart engine. In our case it is for a Helix 150cc go cart. This part deals with the driven clutch assembly. We replace the main clutch spring. See part one for dealing with the variator.

hello bm, where can i get the 1 & 1/2 inch socket for a 1/2 drive and an adapter from 3/4 drive to 1/2 drive?

why u change the original clutch spring to the white one??

is it 4 make your scooter more fast or else??

It keeps the machine in the lower gear range just a little longer. On something like this go kart mini buggy it is better for hill climbing.

hey i just got a baja 150 gy6 engine andwould love to mod it able to racce i was wondering what clutch and variator parts should i buy such as slider weights the rpm of the main spring and what type of clutch arm springs

hello friend, I have a 150 cc buggy but when I stand and start to speed up my buggy tugging, this makes when is cold. Not an engine failure. I think it could be the variable clutch seems to come suddenly and sometimes tugging to jump the gear teeth that transmit power to the shaft. Could you give me your comment? Thank you.

hi my engine keeps braking when I let off the throttle and feels slighlty rough on accelleration, is this a problem with the clutch? when the idle kicks in the engine glides ok so would you reccomend any sort of change from the stock clutch? cheers

thanks bm for the prompt, do you know the metric/mm equiv for the 1-1/2 size? these 150 engines use metric.
