Gospel Song, Wait A Little Longer Please Jesus, Crystal River Cowboys, Strolling Down Memory Lane, Billy & Willie Pollard's Country Gospel TV Program, Featuring Old Songs and Hymns, WillieAndBilly@Yahoo.com , http://billyandwillie.tripod.com
Wait a Little Longer Please Jesus was written by Hazel Houser, my grandmother. This song was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, as it shows the hard work she poured into the song while growing up and singing in church! My grandma has also written numerous other songs that are all under contract with record labels. Ms. Sheppard, I would ask you respectfully to not post anymore comments towards this song, you are incorrect and being disrespectful to the Houser family! Thank-you!
Thanks for keeping my song alive. I wrote "Wait A Little Longer, Please Jesus" when I was a young girl. It was stolen from me. Carl Smith announced on the national network of the Grand Ole Opry in December of 1954 that Chester Smith stole the song from me. This was heard by thousands. There are a couple of newspaper article which mention this and other songs that were stolen from me on Facebook, shirleymalcolmsheppard, Old Pictures. This part of my Facebook is public.
