Produced and Directed by Preston Zeller

In Spring 2005, I took a trip up the coast for Spring break and took my new camera with me. Along the way I took about 700 photos, of which 450 made it into the final cut of this music video. The video portrays much of what is to be considered beautiful and great in the California landscape. I recently recovered this version of it. I used to have a DVD quality, but it was lost. Now, here it is again for your enjoyment. I originally posted this on a Canadian web site when there wasn't youtube or google video or anything around for video hosting. This video was sent to Dredg with a response from Drew originally saying,

"awsome video........i liked it a lot......

.............is beauty the making one of opposites?"

This video is a tribute to Dredg. Not an attempt to sell anything, but display my work. Maybe one day they will see it again, and you can enjoy it as well. Thanks for watching!

  • very good work!

    where was the video shot?

  • The video was mainly shot in parts of central California, up and down the coast. Moro Bay, Carmel, Yosemite, Hearst Castle, Monterey, and some random spots in between...

  • I didn't get what Dredg said, "...is beauty the making one of opposites?"

  • well, being that this is a very unconventional music video, I think that was his way of marking it's uniqueness, that it is a beauty of opposites; something against-the-grain and new. therefore, opposite of what's traditional

  • Thanks for the suppport; the video seems to be getting good exposure already!

  • awesome video! You definately did the song justice :)

  • "That piece was recorded live at the famous One Second Club in 1944. It was inspired by the clarity of consciousness rather than the vividness of dream, and was the self proclaimed pinnacle of broken bridges and chest pressure."

I love that part so very much.

  • @AMetalOrchestra it's not going anywhere:)

  • This was the first dredg song I heard, funnily enough on a long drive with my buddy and when I had to piss like a racehorse, chorus didnt help that at all but I love the band nonetheless, I like the video too, lot of good pictures :P

  • i searched down with webster for this

  • best song they ever made

  • ha! when i first openned it the music wouldn't load and i read the description and i'm ask myself, i wonder if Los Osos or Morro Bay will be in it, and oh, up the hill by the museum by the golf course and there you are, looking at Morro Rock. Glad you went to Hearst Castle too, although that it is one of the most visited places in this area..

  • dammit, i meant to thumbs up your comment but mis-clicked. an unclick option would be fantastic.

  • your video just made my day. thanks, thanks a lot :)
