Here's a video snapshot of what I was working on last year as of February. The map and art is all test stuff, but it does demonstrate some of the interesting control ideas. Multi-fire ropes, and a squishy ball like character that can grow instantaneously.

  • Did this eventually evolve into toybot diaries for the iPhone? Looks a lot like it.

  • No, but had I not moved on to different projects, it likely would have.

  • what was this made with

  • Custom physics, SDL+OpenGL for graphics, C++.

  • at 1:41, could the spider have shot web at the falling object to get towed, expanded to get some air, and slung shot its way across the gap?

  • If I was to this stuff over again, for sure. :D. This was one of my earlier efforts making a from scratch physics game engine, so a lot of stuff could have worked better.

  • awesome physics! great game prototype, keep vlogging about it!

  • Wow, this is pretty awesome! What kind of graphics are you wanting to have when this is done? Same textures? Zooble was a neat game, too. :3

    Hey, if you're interested, I'm thinking of starting a game design group (though mostly focused on programming) on DeviantArt. I already know about five or six other programmers.

    Just a thought. :)
