It's been several years under development; but Scotland new Hydrogen Office is finally open. It's objective -- to test out new technologies, using renewable energy, such as wind and wave power, to break down water into hydrogen and oxygen, then storing these to produce clean fuel when the wind stops blowing. It should also help to spread the load so that the lights never go out in the future -- and all this completely sustainably. That at least is the aim. It's now a question of turning it into a practical, long-term reality.
