I get the points being made on both side and I feel both are valid. However, I ultimately side with Tavis,I agree that we need to have a discussion on forward progression of poverty but A TON of critics of Tavis are missing the point, MLK strived mostly for an Anti-poverty agenda after desegregation, but all you hear is the "I have a dream" speech as if MLK completed his mission...more work to be done. Why celebrate the first black President and not demand more? what's the purpose of having one?
