"why, why do you want my number?" most times they can't come up with a good enough reason unless they admit they have no friends. All else fails and you dont want to be blunt with them just say you dont like to have a lot of numbers in your phone. Keep chatting be polite or whatever just don't give out your number or take theirs. simple

well if you wanted to avoid the call backfire just claim that you don't get very good service there and quikly walk away.
