Tool came thru Hawaii in January. I couldn't go cause I was recovering from knee surgery but the entire show (except the band) was staying at the Hilton hotel in Waikiki, where my wife works. She got one of the roadies to have the whole band sign my Salival box set! Each one signed on their picture and Adam evenwrote to Jeremy.

@billum71 i completely agree and understand what your saying. this song, third eye, reflection, and no quarter are my fav songs to meditate to. simply because the way the instruments are played with such soul and spirit, i dan literally feel it. and i am a guitar and drum player. so i feel a very deep connection to both.

This is one of those extremely rare times when the live version beats the album version. The English language needs to invent several new words just to describe the sheer and raw emotions this song stirs up and forces you to confront. Absolutely priceless, timeless and perfect. Thank you Tool for reinforcing my faith in music and my own humanity. .

This is the deepest song I know. I get something new everytime I hear it as well. It could be about internal conflict, or just simply being pushed around in a relationship of any kind. I never want to see that place again. The song revisits that place. Then they restructured it to make even more powerful in the live version.

the most powerful lyrics written about fighting with your conflicted consciousness..dont hate that part of you.dont pushit away from you..because that fragment is you.love it.because you are the sum of parts. take every mistake as a learning experience.to learn yourself .

tool is definitly one of the most talented bands that has ever lived. only 4 members. maynards voice is extremely soothing and danny careys intricate drumming pulls every song together. this is truely a work of musical art.

Am i the only one that experiences a new, deeper, more powerful connection with this song every time they listen to it? Words can't describe what this song and the rest of Tool's songs have done for me...
