@ryanathan2 The ride is pretty stiff - as you'd expect). My car is also lower-riding than standard, but expect similar to a Z06 Vette because you're most likely using that as a donor. Steering is very precise and easy - even without pwr steering (Mark 1 has no pwr, Mk 2 does). Brakes aren't the best, but are okay. Handling - few will handle as well as a GTM; to be honest, it'll be difficult to find the limit. Noise - mine is loud with an LS376, but that's the way it should be :)
@ryanathan2 I bought my car from it's builder about 4 months ago... shipped it from east coast to west and had it in storage until a couple of weeks ago, when I finally sorted an issue out and hit the streets in the last week. My advice is to by someone's built car. You'll have to budget carefully to build one for $50k, and you can buy someone's nicely completed car for that in this market. I've seen two on ebay for around 60k recently. It's the price of a used C6 Z06 Vette - but a better choice
@ryanathan2 Thanks - will do a video when done. I'm not in a hurry - the standard interior is acceptable but it falls short of 'plush', which you'd expect to see in a supercar.... but the GTM is an outstanding value, and a more plush interior is a luxury outside the kit's ethos. Besides, I think it's one of those things which FF know some owners will eventually pull and redo to suit their own requirements. I'm still figuring out how I'd like to do it because I'd like some body color accents.
@ryanathan2 I agree. The interior doesn't hold up so well to the exterior. A total custom interior is on the cards for my car, with Mk 2 GTM gauges to replace the Autometer ones. The Mk 2 GTM has a hugely improved interior.
@ryanathan2 Not going to disagree with you - the interior is definitely 'spartan', but I decided to stick with what FFR gives you for now. It does look better in person, but the gauges and dash could all use work. Custom interior is something I have on my 'maybe I'll do that some winter' list. The door pillar is pretty annoying, but it is required to help track the window, unfortunately. Not going to say how many time's Ive jabbed my face on that thing when I was in the middle of building it.
I don't know but when I looked online that wasn't what i saw. Must be add ons.
