This is a Drum Cover of Tempting Time from Animals as Leaders 2009 self titled release and is the copyrighted property of its owner(s).

Tempting Time was my favourite song from this album. I choose to cover this song because it has beautiful phrased groups between the kick and snare which i love to play. The song features different themes throughout with a tempo change in the middle. I had a lot of fun with this song. Hope you enjoy as well!!! Also shout out to Misha Mansoor from Periphery for programing the drums in this song... WOOOOOOW!!!

  • @therwbrman I dont like seeing drummer rest their left foot much either. I can't play much without my left foot moving all over the place haha

  • the groove ! i can feel your groove man! very tatseful

  • Great work. Especially on the hihat bit starting at 2:52, with the meandering accenting - and especially on keeping that rolling accenting feel on the hihat after the snare kicks in alongside it. That would have been an easy place to make it easier for yourself had you so chosen. happy that you didn't :)

Just one thing: maybe place your bass drum a bit higher in the mix. otherwise, spot on.

  • NICE HOLY CHINA :)

  • @MyNoseIsNotUrs While I admit Luke is very good, in my opinion Troy has so much more feel and taste, not to mention technique. Luke's cover of CAFO doesn't seem quite as natural and fluid to me. But don't get me wrong, Luke is still good--just not on quite the same level.

  • That nigga got two hi hats?

  • @slowblood99 Luke has done a cover of CAFO though and he has also has some really good improv covers of songs too. Plus their styles are a bit different, idk i mean to me it would be a pretty insane match to see.

  • Absolutely insane, Troy. I e-mailed you a couple months back complimenting you. Please add more once the new Meshuggah comes out. And I would love the chance to do some kind of project with you.

  • @therwbrman That's one of the things that separates a great drummer from a good drummer
