Lyrics:

Once in Royal David's City stood a lowly cattle shed,
where a mother laid her baby.
You'd do well to remember the things He later said.
When you're stuffing yourselves at the Christmas parties,
you'll laugh when I tell you to take a running jump.
You're missing the point I'm sure does not need making;
that Christmas spirit is not what you drink.

So how can you laugh when your own mother's hungry
and how can you smile when the reasons for smiling are wrong?
And if I messed up your thoughtless pleasures,
remember, if you wish, this is just a Christmas song.

  • @fredszczepanski pliz die !

  • @fredszczepanski You act as if they offended you by playing their song the way they wanted.

  • @fredszczepanski you never noticed the flute before? What about the solo in Locomotive Breath?

  • This band was so gay, but i never thought that until I got their live DVD. With the raghead, the flute, and the crazy pants. They sucked playing my favorite song, locomotive breath, and i threw their dvd out!

  • @Maglobrog this gizzard still plays drums in a jazz band and 5 string banjo in a bluegrass band for pay...MagBreath!!

  • Hey, Santa, pass us that bottle will you.....is missing from this version.

  • @BerkLeeDrm You appear to be an old man, a geezer. So I don't want to be disrespectful, but you're past it mate. That comment was ages ago, this song has sort of grown on me since then. I prefer Fat man and Mother Goose to this song though. :)
