My husband and I are coming to Jamaica in early July. What are the local attractions in Kingston? Where would you suggest we visit to experience Kingston as you do a local.

Asylum night club

pan chicken from Wally in Manor Park or the guy in Northside plaza

hellshire beach for fish, bammy ,festival.

lime cay on the weekend for beach/ sun/ swimming

Devon House for ice cream and strolling.

supermarkets @ Sovereign and Loshusan.

Great, we will do all those things. I haven't been to Hellshire in many years, how is Hellshire these days? I heard some years ago it's gotten a bit rough...have you been to Hellshire lately? What do you think about Port Royal? Can you suggest interesting towns to visit on the southcoast?

hellshire is ok still,tho i think the earlier you go the better/nicer teh experience.think they usualy start cook around 8am-ish. Port Royal is good for fish/seafood also and a good deal closer than hellshire

I'd like to take him to Dunns River as well since it's on the east side, is that a realistic day trip and how many hours would it take by car? I was also thinking about cultural attractions as well, what are your thoughts? Do you know of any upcoming events happening in July? How long is the drive in MoBay?

Dunns River is near Ocho Rios(2 hours drive from kingston)very easy doable day trip.

mobay is 4 hours drive,if your going there stay over a couple days. or take a plane since the 2nd airport is there too.
