This is using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Google IO Edition, but almost everything I cover should apply to all current Honeycomb tablets.
This covers changing your UAString, setting and removing default applications, thumb keyboard, and a whole lot more.

The video did cut out early, but I pretty much covered most of the things I wanted to show. The only thing I did not get a chance to show is ADW Launcher EX which works nicely with Honeycomb.

  • How do you create folders :S ?

  • @FatherRhei I use a file manager called Astro. It works great for me. You can use it to create and edit folders and files.

  • @FatherRhei If you are referring to folders on the homescreen, you'll need to add it as a "Shortcut"

  • thanks. where did u get your wallpaper? really cool

  • @Msspinnerb8 Thanks! Just do a search for Android Wallpapers and you'll see it in Google Images, not too far down.

  • It's VERY important to note: If you have a limited 3G/4G data plan, opening a full-web webpage uses a LOT more data than it's mobile counterpart.

  • @clanpsi didnt think of that, but very good point!

  • "BAM BITCH."

  • hi

how to remove the extra home screen

    wish to show me how

    thanks in advance

  • @MrUnsuspiciousName Thumb Keyboard available in the market.

  • @sanjamagha First question: Why are you trying to stop them? If they are chewing up battery life, either set the refresh interval on the app to the longest time possible, or just uninstall it (it's probably a poor app anyway if it's eating away at your battery).

The Android OS handles background applications with more efficiency than people credit it with. WIth that said, if you really want to close background apps just search the Market for a task manager. Just don't set it to auto-kill tasks.

  • How do you stop the background running apps ???

     Please help

  • how you get the splitted keyboard?
