CNN: New York Times admits Ron Paul Neo-Nazi story was false

CNN runs a story on the New Yorks Time's rushing to publish unsubstantiated allegations against Ron Paul

The original story that the NYT's was getting it's information from originated from littlegreenfootballs.com (lgf).

This group is like the neonazis of the liberals, and in a very real way, the stormfront guys are their direct enemies, so this story was mearly an attempt on the part of lgf to strike out at their polar opposites.

Also, the website Little Green Footballs is very well known for being extremely pro isreal, so Ron Paul's position on bringing the troops home scares them to death.

It is also noteable that hey have won several awards: For "promoting Israel, and Zionism" and "presenting Israel's side of the conflict, " LGF won the "Best Israel Advocacy Blog" award from the Jerusalem Post in 2005

So, the bias in story the NYT based it's blog on is clear. The New York Times should have done more research into this story and found this out, because it didn't take me long to uncover the origins, and I would suspect that any respectable jounalist would have been able to do the same.

Shame New York Times.. this was a pathetic smear attempt on the good Doctor.

The real question is why would a Neo-Nazi support Ron Paul? This should have been a red flag from the start.

Ron Paul is a libertarian, which is a very right wing ideology, where a Nazi is the National *Socialist* Germans Workers' Party, which is an extreme left wing ideology.
