@240252 Sedatives in the drinking water- nonsense! People made themselves believe that everything was still normal and escaped realities - let us say until 1943 when "total war" took its price in closing down the last cafes and dancing bars. And it was not a complete and abrupt halt, "Swinging Berlin" died slowly with the years of depression and political unrest after 1930.
By the way- were was the outcry in the USA when Bush came up with his "patriot act" and infringed on civl rights?

@dzheger D., Berlin went mad in these few years of freedom. But abrupt and unbelievable difference in all ways of life that occured in just few months in 1933, still amazes me. It was like stopping a river size of Mississipi, suddenly in its flow. And it worked! How come? With no protests, no uprising, no struggle. I hate to think such way but it's only an article I read lately about nazis adding sodium fluoride to the drinking water and making people sort of dum, that explains me a little.

I never cease to be amazed by your images and the perfect coordination of the visual and vocal.
