I finished reading this book last Sunday and it was AMAZING, BLOODY, VIOLENT, AND AWESOME! I'm a tomboy and all these other books are like, "I'm going to a ball and I can't wait to dance with the prince!" I mean....SERIOUSLY! life isn't always going to have happy endings and children should understand that. I LOVE Adam Gidwitz for writing this book:)

Good God its fine. The book is magnificent and these aren't even his stories. They are re-written from the Brothers of Grimm. It says the Lord's name 3 times in the beginning. Later in the book it does have hell and the Devil, but I believe its fine. Children should know that the fairy princesses always die, but they will live long.

i'm not your average girl, i'm way into the gory stuff and i was completely enamoured with this book. it's a completely fresh and frightening take on those lame fairy tales that made me almost die of boredom. I applaude adam gidwitz for taking such a chance with a kids book. Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
