the name of the move at 1:19 please how rigan breaks the defense, has that move a name.. i´m from austria and their no bjj clubs, only judo and go to them beacause i love bjj and use a lot of the submissions, passes, sweeps from guard but judokas do only play defense or go for sidecontroll ( katagatama ??) fuck that comoetionjudo here sucks sooo much, only controll the guy is soo boring, judo nowdays lame as fuck!!

@Welc01 Essentially yes. The rules of each different martial art's competitions have really transformed the focus of each art, but there is plenty of overlap between the two. I take both, because I see the value in each.

jejejejejejeje he just did JUDO....I see nothing else than JUDO...inclusive he had a very good standing position something that no much BJJ practioner have...undestand something NE WAZA BELONG TO JUDO AND BJJ COMING FROM JUDO...and I LOVE BOTH, ARE THE SAME WITH DIFERENT RULE...JUST THAT...

@scarred10 in all fairness Freestyle Judo has only been on the grid for a couple of years so its hard to say its a extreme minority, it has built a good following among Judoka so far and many Judoka want to see it come to their city or state also put into play it is going up against Olympic Judo tourneys and IJF and yes the current rule set sucks for judo and that is why you see more Judoka cross training & entering BJJ tourneys now days because they can use more on the mat.

@glock70 sambo allows more newaza than judo which allows virtually none nowadays.The comps you refer to are extreme minority,most schools go by olympic /ijf rules.Judo has the techs but the rules kill its practise in schools.Any decent judoka/wrestler would throw rickson,he was pissweak on his feet,he trained for the ground.

@scarred10 And also were do get Sambo has more ground work then Judo? do you know that there are Judo Ne Waza tournaments all across the U.S and Europe and Asian you can even type it in right here on you tube along with freestyle Judo under AAU rules no IPPON everything is points for pins to subs to take downs to chokes and locks so where do you get you info stop watching highlight reels on you tube! Oh yeah and Sambo Ron Trip beat Rickson Gracie in 45 seconds before his loss to Rigan

@scarred10 Really ? then why not go to the source and school lets say a Judoka from Japan they play by Kodokan rules no IPPON he can use ground work all he wants or go after a Olympic Judoka you mean there were none in 93 that would except the challenge ? once again soup cans ! and don't forget Judoka Ezequiel paraquassu did the same thing to non soup cans when he subbed team Gracie Barra black belts left and right so the Gracie really have not fought the best!

@franciscoreatas11 probably because no one wears that steel/iron armor anymore lol. gotta have love for our roots though. samurai are pretty legit. gotta love that katana and wakazashi.
