Part 1 - Bernadette Peters Reads "Broadway Barks"

Bernadette Peters reads her book "Broadway Barks" at Books Inc. in San Francisco on Saturday, July 26th, 2008.

Apologies for both the shakiness of the footage - I was excited, can you blame me? - and the fact that it's in two halves. It was filmed with a still photo camera that allows three-minute video recordings as well, so I made do with what I had.

The first line (that I missed) is "I used to be called Douglas."

"Broadway Barks" was inspired by the annual star-studded animal adoption event of the same name, which benefits animal shelters throughout the New York City area and was co-founded by Bernadette and Mary Tyler Moore. All author royalties from this book are donated to Broadway Barks.
