  • Congratulation 湯唯. Your Cantonese and English is excellent. Keep up the good work. We are looking forward your first movie in Hollywood.

  • 她比范冰冰那种花瓶不知高到哪里去了!!

  • @Rab1975bit I'm gonna stick by the HKer celebrities, I mean most of these are known to have their "Heung-Ha" (hometown) in Canton Province: 吳君如 楊采妮 林嘉欣 張學友 甄子丹 (last name 甄 is quite widespread in Taishan). They all lack those attributes you ascribe to southern Chinese.

  • @Rab1975bit I'm not sure which part of the north you've seen but angular faces can be found virtually anywhere in China. as a rule northerners have more prominent cheek bones but that's about all. But if you compare Chang Kai Shek to Chairman Mao........I'd think the former would be considered to have less of a round face. the Hong Kong celebrities I've mentioned all have ancestry in Taishan. I'm Cantonese and I have a long angular face, my whole town does.

There r lots of looks in the South. Cantonese or S. Chinese, to me, tend to have rounder facial features, like rounder noses, eyes, sometimes face shapes.

Northern Chinese tend to have sharper features like pointier noses, longer eyes & often more angular face shapes.

HKers r not good examples of Southern faces, although most Hong Kong Chinese r Cantonese yet a large proportion of the HK Chinese population came from differernt parts of China, & there's a big Eurasian community too.
