@McCathcon I said they are the three greatest presidents because they were the first three, not that I actually believe that to be true. But.. I do have much more respect for the first three than I have for the last three.

@spyletu what a ridiculous statement, morality did exist, it wasnt a scientific discovery waiting to happen, morality could have told jefferson sleeping with his 15 year old slave was wrong, but to jefferson and the others slaves were INHUMAN, jefferson was brilliant as were the founders, but lets not engage in revisionist history, they greated a system that benefited white protestant men of property, their efforts led to the glorious system we have today...in spite of them

@abnoceans12 ummm...you are WRONG, Jefferson only freed teh slaves produced through his "relationship" with 15 year old sally hemings, i.e. HIS children, all the other slaves on his plantation were sold off or remained slaves, in fact Jefferson was so afraid of blacks, he said free them and then ship them to Liberia, a BRILLIANT man, but lets not engage in revisionist history here

@smttysmth02gt I agree, I mean Thomas Jefferson LOVED his slaves, especially the 15 year old sally hemings he was sleeping with....that's what we need mroe of today, men with character like Jefferson

@ELIAXTRO I never got the amount of love some of these guys get. I personally like Adams more than Jefferson, but I wouldn't call Adams one of our "greatest", though he is personally one of my favorites. As for Jefferson, all his love for the constitution seemingly went out of the window once he became President.

Oh a time when being the President meant so much more than delivering lip service. When the President actually stuck to and enforced the laws of the Founding Fathers. True Americans running the country. Where have those days gone? :/

Buchanan would have said: I've Passed the Morril Tarrif as you asked. Don't let the "UNION" Pacific fall.
What I would give to have a congress full of the founding fathers.

George Washington: I am fairly out, and you(John Adams) are fairly in. See which of us will be the happiest.
I wonder if this is similar to what James Buchanan said to Abraham Lincoln:
If you are as happy in entering the White House as I shall feel on returning to Wheatland, you are a happy man.
