Typical russian incompetence. They have never really gave a shit about their own people..no sacrifice to great for the motherland. The only thing Reagan did wrong was not launch a full spread on these pricks in the 80's. It would be a pretty safe assumption to say that their missiles probably wouldn't fire anyway. the only good russian is a VAPORIZED russian.

"Let's build a reactor at sea level next to an ocean in a notoriously geologically unstable location!"
Makes perfect sense. You know, the fact that Fukushima One was able to withstand a staggering earthquake -- and near its epicenter, mind you -- testifies to the robust safety that many modern reactors boast. It was a completely preventable disaster, and yet, it fuels fires against nuclear energy simply because most of humanity is too ignorant to see "cause" and instead only sees "effect."

I believe these people; the miners, the soldiers, the scientists, these "liquidators" are the first true heroes. Even though they might not have had the choice, even though they might have did what they did because they had too... They saved the world, saved humanity, yet again, from it's own stupidity... They deserve even more respect, and acknowledgement for that alone.
Because of your selfless efforts, this disaster was contained, and the lives of thousands others saved. Rest in peace...

Absolutely MIND BLOWING. They had to use robotic machines to build a sarcophagus around the reactor. And the machines themselves broke down because of the radiation. Any human couldn't work for more than 15 minutes in the area at a time. There was enough graphite material to kill a man in less than an hour. Sometimes I wonder if mankind would have been better off not discovering nuclear power.
