  • @auxbel is it easy?

  • Hey idiots, did you bother checking when this video was uploaded? :D -__-

  • Hello Dr., it is time to update the MA's Scope of Practice.

  • emm thats not true -.o

  • I think this doctor needs to be updated on what a medical assistant does. I am in an associate's program for medical assisting and we are taught to give injections, phlebotomy, vitals, minor surgical procedures, as well as medical coding and billing. All of the technical stuff is not just up to the nurse's anymore. I wouldn't want to work for this guy because my degree states otherwise.

  • I'm just about done with my Medical Assisting training. I will soon have an AAS and have all of the training necessary to take the certification exam to become a CMA. In my training I have been instructed how to give i injections and do phlebotomy. Medical assisting is a very versatile career (clinical and administrative responsibilities).

  • wtf im in school to be an MA and i had to learn how give injections and take most vitals the first week. the only type of injection i cant give is an IV.

  • @auxbel Thank you for replying! and congrats :)

  • @summerchick621 you can be a medical assistant and not draw blood, most sites required a phlebotomy license, I can answer your question because I m a MA and I just finished externship and about to graduate

  • Can you be a medical assistant and not draw blood?
