@TheRohBoat It may be easier to play, but the trade off is you have to play differently. For some it may be half the speed, twice the pressure. Or twice the speed, half the pressure. Get a teacher and like anything else it just takes practice. Like the guy in the video says, you need to develop an ear for playing in the piccolo trumpet "key"
2. If you can't play a high C on a C Trumpet, don't expect to play any higher on piccolo a piccolo. The common misconception is that a piccolo trumpet just magically helps you play one octave higher. The thing is that it only makes the partials farther apart for the sale pitch as you go higher. What I mean in that it will 3rd space C to top space g will have a partial of a 5th, when on a big horn it would be c to e a third, then e to g another third

I'm thinking about purchasing one of these. I have some pretty basic questions.
1. so it basically just plays an octave higher than a trumpet?
2. Is it easier to play in a higher register because of it having shorter pipes?
