You don't want to keep it in a bank safety deposit box. When banks close you won't be able to get it.

Burying it in the ground or keeping it in your garage is a less safer option. I've heard the risks about keeping it in a bank safe, and probably .0001% of the population has lost everything when a bank closed. Banks get taken over by other banks, and your assets are safe; otherwise, the bank will have to repay you (document everything that you keep in your safe(s).
