  • But the 2 Bujinkan masters is Hatsumi Maasaki ( Japanese ) and Stephen K. Hayes ( American ), but Hatsumi is Master of all Bujinkan Stephen i think he is only master of bujinkan in USA

  • @ZZaiBoT2011 An Shu is a Grandmaster but of To Shin Do. Its a more updated approach to the traditional training.

  • Excellent video. I feel that it really capures the spirit of marital lineage shared by the three men depicted in that exquisite oil painting near the end. It makes me so proud to be able to say that I'm part of the lineage as well!

  • Thank you very much.

  • did takamatsu make masaaki do the same kind of hand training as he did?

  • That is a great question, and no he didnt. Takamatsu was born in the late 1800's so that type of training was still used. But when Hatsumi sensei was learning from him in the 50's, he told him that is no longer useful for that day and age.

  • I'm sick and tired of that rumor of Hayes being kicked out of the Bujinkan. I mean, the man isn't great with his history but he sure is a great practitioner, and we'd be left with nothing if he hadn't taught in the West. He always speaks highly of Soke Hatsumi, especially if you read his Facebook updates, almost all of them are about Soke. He basically did what Soke wanted him to, so why would he be kicked out?

  • ninjitsu forever !

  • @ZZaiBoT2011 there are many masters of ninjutsu but only one grandmaster and only master of bujinkan maasaki hatsumi

  • @ZZaiBoT2011 Stephen K. Hayes introduced the ninja arts & traditions to the American public at large, among whom the arts would likely still remain largely unknown. He was, as far as I know, Dr. Hatsumi's first non-Japanese student and credits Dr. Hatsumi with teaching him everything he knows. An-Shu Hayes has gone on to found his own school, To Shin Do, which is a more contemporary application of the Togakure Ryu, but has NEVER stopped referring to Masaaki Hatsumi as his teacher.

  • or i think Stephen from USA is maybe on a Student of Hatsumi Maasaki

  • Hatsumi maasaki´s grandpah´s dad was a famous samurai too

  • Takamatsu was born year 1889 but i have heard his grandpah was a famous Samurai

  • @PeterJRaia

Peace be with you My Friend.

Go now with what i have given you, learn to see the truth behind the lies... this is what i feel is the true curriculum for the bujinkan...

the people that buy the lies will never inherit the school...

be one that digs deeper, with the acceptance you have from your experience with the techniques...

i don't for a moment doubt the effectiveness of the skillset... Takamatsu and hatsumi are PHENOMENAL Budoka.

but finding good instruction to get2 5th dan...

  • @Arteanor Fair enough, and you certainly have that right. On the one hand we may pursue differing visions (be it scholastic study or personal experience), and I am at peace with your assertions of the path on which I find myself being "less than legit". On the other hand, the fact that you're passionate and motivated enough to actually confront and follow up and study and most of all "defend" is heartening and encouraging.

Be well. You and I are done with this.
