The Fairfield Republican Town Committee is sponsoring a Town Hall Meeting on October 6th at the Fairfield Main Library Memorial Room at 7pm to discuss jobs and the economy, Connecticut's looming budget deficits, and the decisions that will be facing the next General Assembly.
The meeting will be hosted by state Sen. John McKinney (R-28), state Rep. Tony Hwang (R-134), state representative candidates Brenda Kupchick (132nd), DeeDee Brandt (133rd) and Judge of Probate Dan Caruso.
"Connecticut is facing serious financial and unemployment issues and I encourage everyone in the community to attend, voice their opinions and engage us in a community discussion about the challenges Fairfield and the state of Connecticut face," McKinney stated.
Hwang added that "jobs and creating an inviting business environment in Connecticut is critical to our economic recovery as a state. I have hosted multiple job skills seminars where I have heard loud and clear from our constituents that jobs and economic security is priority one. I hope our informational meeting will help in bridge the communication gap where state legislative policies do not reflect the will and needs of our community."
